Power Karate Kids did an Outstanding Job!

This coming Wednesday, Feb 28th is being recognized as Pink Shirt Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about anti-bullying. The hope is to send a positive message that bullying, including cyber-bullying isn’t acceptable and won’t be tolerated.

Power Karate is based on the precepts of Respect, Confidence and Power, and on Feb 28th our karate students are encouraged to wear their pink shirts to class as a show of solidarity against all forms of bullying.

Students can wear their pink shirts, along with their belts and Gi bottoms if they like.

“Together we can make a difference!”

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Frosty Festival Parade this week! The kids had a ball!

Congratulations to Harrison Luff for winning the "Karate Inspires Us" Activity!

Harrison did a presentation using several different liquids to demonstrate how our minds can become busy and congested, and he then added more solution to show how breathing can help us become calm and clear our minds again. It was an excellent demonstration and Harrison's Dojo-mates loved it!

Well done, Harrison! Oss!

Thank you to everyone who submitted Arts or Letters for this Activity. They were all superb!

It was a pleasure to train with you all, and we are looking forward to Sensei Toru's return to NL!

Monday, Mar 20th - Classes are canceled today due to the weather and poor driving conditions.  Please continue to practice your kata and kihon to be prepared for the grading.  Attached is a copy of the training log that will assist.  Also, keep an eye on your email tonight, I will send a video of their kata that will assist you if you have any questions about the turns or any particular move.
